I created a mini album with photos from my honeymoon to Key West, Florida.

I was inspired to make this project while I was looking through the patterned papers in the Vacation Paper Pad and finding a paper with a map of a portion of the United States that included Florida, which I thought would make a great album cover.

I covered both the outside and inside of a small case, that reminded me of a suitcase, with Momenta papers. The small case holds my mini album as well as other souvenirs from my trip.

Members of the Momenta D-Lite Team are being featured on the Momenta Blog today, so be sure to check out the rest of the projects!

Song of the Sea Configurations Box - Your Memories Here

Supplies:
Configurations Box: Tim Holtz
Paper: Tim Holtz
Tissue Tape: Tim Holtz
Curio Knob: Tim Holtz
Foundations: Tim Holtz
Keys: K&Co
Vintage Keyhole: Melissa Frances
Ribbon: Offray
Other: Shells, Glass Jars, Star Fish, Sand Dollars, Spools, Flowers, Twine

It's finally warm enough to enjoy the beach and I couldn't be happier.  I had a blast altering this beach themed Configurations Box for Your Memories Here Designs. Configurations are dimensional shadow boxes made from 1/8" wrapped paper board, not thin chipboard or paper mache. These sturdy covered boxes are inkable, paintable, and best of all configurable. Available in four sizes, each configuration comes with a framed lid with with removable acetate window.

Measuring approximately 2" deep, each configurations can be used to display your most dimensional elements, mini books, and better yet, they fit the curio knobs and foundation feet like a dream! Stand them up or lay them flat, you decide how to display it.

I lined the back of each box with patterned paper from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology collection.  The seams and edges of this box are covered with Tim Holtz Tissue Tape.  Be sure to stop by the Tim Holtz Idoa-ology section of the Your Memories Here Store!

There are still spots available for Sweet Retreat! This is an event you don't want to miss. There will be exclusive classes and projects that you can't get anywhere else, plus tons of fun, food and special surprises.  If you want to join Your Memories Here, have lots of giggles, sweets, and craft with the gorgeous girls from Prima and our very own Kristina, go HERE and grab your spot!

Reverse Sketch Based on a Layout by Corrie Jones

Scrapbook News and Review Magazine has sketches in every issue created by talented staffers. Sketches are used by the staff designers either exactly as is, altered in a fun way or interpreted in a certain design style. Every month one staff layout is selected and a sketch is made based on that layout. The result is something we call a reverse sketch. This is my take on the reverse sketch based on Corrie's fabulous layout. If you love working with sketches, this section of the magazine is sure to offer plenty of inspiration. The March Issue is coming soon!

Ribbon Bead Bracelet - SNR Magazine

My two young daughters love to play dress-up. Most of their play jewelry consists of elastic string and small plastic beads, which unfortunately do not hold up to much pulling and stretching. This bracelet made from ribbon is not only fun to make and easy to personalize, but it also stands up to the rough play of young children!

Supplies:
3/8-inch ribbon
1/8-inch ribbon
Craft thread
Buttons
Skewer
Pins
Scissors
Fabric glue

Step One: To make each bead, cut a 5-inch length of 3/8-inch ribbon, fold it in half and, starting with the cut ends of ribbon, wrap around the skewer. Apply a small amount of fabric glue to the first loop of ribbon to secure.

Step Two: Wrap the length of ribbon around the skewer and secure with pins.

Step Three: Cut a small length of craft thread, wrap it around the ribbon and tie a tight double knot. Remove the pins and slide the ribbon bead off the skewer. Repeat the above steps for the desired number of beads. Note: I made eight beads for my small bracelet.

Step Four: Cut a 12-inch length of 1/8-inch ribbon and thread the beads onto the ribbon.

Step Five: To stop the beads from sliding off the ribbon, add a small button to each end of ribbon.

Secure the bracelet to the wrist by tying a simple bow. Try using these ribbon beads to make a necklace or hair clip!

Laughter - Your Memories Here

Supplies:
Paper: Prima
Stickers: Prima
Flowers: Prima
Chipboard: Prima
Wood Heart: Prima
Lace: Prima
Other: Twine

I'm sharing a soft and simple page I created with the Prima Meadow Lark Collection today for Your Memories Here Designs.  The soft pastel color palette of this collection is really beautiful.

My two favorite embellishments from this collection are the Alphabet Stickers and the Wood Buttons.  There are 693 pieces in the Alphabet Sticker package, which includes 4 fonts in four different colors as well as word stickers.  There are 18 pieces in the package of Wood Buttons.  Each button has a different design and is either a circle, flower, star or heart.

I always love the flowers!  The Lucerne flowers add a wonderful subtle shimmer to projects as they are pre-glittered.  There are 12 multi-colored flowers in a package, which makes this package of flowers perfect for use with each of the patterned paper in the Meadow Lark Collection.

If you love Prima flowers be sure to check out the YMH Prima Flower Sale. Your Memories Here is offering Floral Grab Bags in 3 sizes for $25, $50 and $75. Each Grab Bag includes items from leftover Live with Prima kits, newly released products from Summer CHA and discontinued items that you can not find anymore! These Grab Bags are selling quickly, so hurry up and get yours before they're gone!

Kiss - SNR Magazine

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bo Bunny
Paper: Momenta, Sassafras
Chipboard: Crate Paper, Pink Paislee
Letter Stickers: Sassafras
Yarn: Peaches and Creme

Each month, Scrapbook News and Review Magazine asks crafters to dig deep into their stashes for a popular or once-trendy product to use when creating a layout. The product for January was chipboard, an item that seems to keep multiplying in my stash. I have a ton of partial packages of chipboard alphas and decided to use them as a base for my photo.  I really love this page and my two nephews featured in the photo.  I think I've found a use for those hard to use letters!  There's always a fun call for projects at SNR, so submit your work for a chance to be published!

Going Green - Your Memories Here

Supplies:
Cardstock: Recollections
Lace, Leaves, Pearls, Rhinestones: Prima
Dew Drops: The Robin's Nest
Netting: Webster's Pages
Stickers: Little Yellow Bicycle
Alcohol Ink, Distress Ink: Ranger
Mist: Tattered Angels
Swiss Dots Embossing Folder: Provocraft
Tool: Cuttlebug
Other: Tulle

It's Friday, which means I'm sharing a project created for Your Memories Here.  I'm going green in preparation for St. Patrick's Day.  Green is my favorite color, but is greatly underrepresented in my scrap supplies.  With the help of some Alcohol Ink, Distress Ink, Distress Stickles and Glimmer Mist, I was able to change my white and clear embellishments to wonderful shades of green.

It's easy to change the color of rhinestones and pearls with Ranger's Alcohol Ink.  Using an acrylic block, or other non-absorbent surface, squeeze a small amount of Alcohol Ink onto your work surface and apply to the rhinestones and pearls with a Q-tip.  Note: I used Alcohol Ink in Lettuce to color the embellishments shown in the photo.

Alcohol Ink can also be used to color Dew Drops.  Simply place the desired amount of Dew Drops into a plastic bag, add a couple of drops of Alcohol Ink and shake the bag until the Dew Drops are evenly coated.  Remove the wet Dew Drops from the plastic bag to dry.

Lace and ribbon absorb mist well.  It only took a few pumps of mist to color my lace.  Try using more than one color of mist for a one-of-a-kind color.

Distress Inks are fun to work with and a great way to add color to white cardstock.  I used Distress Ink in Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters, Evergreen Bough and Pine Needles to color my cardstock.

Randomly press the ink pads onto a craft mat and then spritz with water.  Lay the cardstock over the ink and swirl the cardstock around until the entire piece is colored.

This is what my cardstock looked like once it was dry.

Distress Stickles not only add a pop of color to any project, but also some fabulous shine.

I used Distress Stickles in Forest Moss, Bundled Sage and Crushed Olive to color my buttons.

Here is the card that I created with my new green embellishments.  I decided to add some texture to my cardstock and used my Cuttlebug and Swiss Dots embossing folder.  The green "Princess Petal" is handmade.  If you missed my tutorial, you can see how I made the flower by following this LINK.  I usually forget that I can custom color my embellishments to suit my needs.  If you are the same way, I hope that this post has served as a fun reminder of what your color mediums can do for you.  You can pick up Alcohol Ink, Distress Ink, Glimmer Mist and Distress Stickles in a variety of colors from the Your Memories Here Store.  Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping!

Vintage Trinket Earrings - Your Memories Here

Supplies:
Vintage Trinkets: Prima
Other: Earring Findings

I'm sharing a quick and easy project today for Your Memories Here Designs.  While looking though my jewelry box with my daughters, I found several pairs of uninspired and neglected earrings.  I decided to upcycle an old pair of earrings with the help of some gorgeous Prima Trinkets.  It took me less than a minute to swap the tired stones with the sparkly tear-drop rhinestones, resulting in a fresh new vintage set that is sure to be worn!

I used the Prima Trinkets pictured above for this pair of earrings.  I want to add that this package of Prima Trinkets contains 2 of each design shown in the above photo.  With several designs to choose from, a set of earrings and a locket necklace would make a great inexpensive gift with that special hand-made touch.  These trinkets also look fabulous on craft projects of all types, and because they are made of metal and clear stones, coordinate perfectly with all of the Prima collections, both old and new!  Be sure to visit the Your Memories Here Store to check out the selection of Vintage Trinkets and the newly arrived Prima collections!
