Unruly PaperArts Guest Contributor - August Take A Powder Issue Sneak Peek
I'm so excited to be a Guest Contributor for the Unruly PaperArts August Take A Powder Issue! August brings to mind seaside scenes and beautiful beach days. In deference to these sandy pursuits, UPA has dedicated an entire issue to all things powder!
UPA Designers and Guest Contributors will take you on a terrific trip through some usual, and unusual, uses for various crafting powders including embossing powders and Pearl Ex powders.
I hope my sneak peek and caught your eye! Stop by the Unruly PaperArts Blog on August 23rd to read my full article featuring Pearl Ex Powdered Pigments. I'm sharing my step-by-step tutorial for the layout shown above, as well as some of my experimenting with Pearl Ex Pigment Powders and dozens of my favorite art mediums!
If you're looking to join in on the fun UPA has 2 Reader Art Quests for August.
August Reader Art Quest #1: One of the most common granular gifts to the craft world - embossing powder! So for this Reader Art Quest, we are challenging you to use embossing powder. UPA will be accepting Unruly Reader Submissions starting August 1st until August 25th. Voting for the top 5 projects will begin August 26 and run to August 31, 2013. The 5 projects with the most votes will be featured in the September 2013 issue!
August Reader Art Quest #2: From one of the most common powders used in papercrafting, let's move to one that we sometimes forget is in our toolbox - chalk! This versatile powder brings style with a subtle touch to many projects! For this month's second Reader Art Quest, we are asking you to show us how you can rock the chalk. UPA will be accepting Unruly Reader Submissions starting August 1st until August 25th. Voting for the top 5 projects will begin August 26 and run to August 31, 2013. The 5 projects with the most votes will be featured in the September 2013 issue!
