C - Inspired Blueprints #96

It's time for another Inspired Blueprints reveal! I followed the sketch and just added a couple more layers under the photo and some handwritten journaling. This layout is my new favorite featuring my oldest daughter Claire. We had an impromptu photo session while waiting in the car rider lane before school.  The photo session was quick and fabulous and my layout came together just as fast in under 30 minutes.

Springing Up! - Moxxie

Hi! I'm sharing a Spring themed layout for Moxxie that I created with the Homespun Easter collection. Easter has come and gone, but this line is full of pretty pastels and floral prints that are perfect for documenting Spring photos.

The Homespun Easter Double-Sided Punch Out Sheets are perfect for filling out flower clusters and adding extra layers to your layouts.

The B-sides of these patterned papers sport a fabulous cross-stitch pattern. Try personalizing these papers with stamps. I added a romantic script design in several random areas for visual interest.

Friendship Necklaces - Creative Inspirations Paint

Stamped Friendship Necklaces by Dana Tatar

Hi! I'm sharing a fun project for the Creative Inspirations Paint Anything Goes Challenge today. Did you know that Creative Inspirations paints work great with stamps? I selected several of my favorite colors of Creative Inspirations Paint, the Dylusions by Dyan Reaveley Background Love Cling Stamp Set from Ranger, and four pendant necklaces, and created this jewelry for my daughter and her friends in less than 30 minutes.

Supplies:
Pendant Necklaces
Creative Inspirations Paint (any shimmery paint will work here i.e. Shimmerz)
Stamps
Paintbrushes
Craft Mat
Heat Tool (optional)

Step 1: Apply several colors of paint to a craft mat using a paintbrush. Place the colors close to each other and blend a bit if desired. Spread the color out with the paintbrush so that there is a thin layer of paint large enough to cover the stamp.

Step 2: Dip a stamp into the pool of color. Stamp onto the necklace base. Set aside to dry, or speed up the process with a heat tool. Clean the paint from the stamps.

Step 3: Place the clear adhesive-backed resin pendant cover over the necklace base. String the pendant onto a chain. Repeat this process for the remaining necklaces.

I love the sparkly finish of these paints!

Teacher Gift Tin - Couture Creations

Hi! I'm sharing a teacher gift tin for Couture Creations today. The school year is coming to an end and I like to show my appreciation to my daughter's teachers with a thank you gift. I created this gift tin with an empty embellishment container, some school themed supplies and some fabulous Couture Creations dies.

If you have not seen the amazing Fantasia Premium Doily Die Collection, you're going to want to check them out and add them to your scrappy arsenal! I used the Dazzling Doily Die here with some Core'dinations Black Magic cardstock. Once my doily was cut I lightly sanded the cardstock to reveal the color. I chose green because it reminded me of a blackboard.

I used the Apple Cider Die from the Endless Dreams Collection with some patterned paper to make a fun apple embellishment.

The detail on this Dazzling Doily Die is amazing! The die comes with a piece of Ejection Foam which helps to create clean results, so I didn't have to spend time removing bits of paper from my cardstock doily or my die! You can see the color peeking through the black cardstock as a result of the sanding.

To finish the tin, add the embellishments to the top and secure with a piece of twine.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Time Wire Bound Book - Quick Quotes

Hi! I'm sharing how I altered the Time 6"x8" Wire Bound Book for the Quick Quotes Mini May-nia feature this month. The embossed cover and kraft patterned pages of this mini album are absolutely gorgeous. I highlighted several of the printed designs with simple embellishments like glitter, ribbon, glaze and Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalking Ink. I kept my page design clean and simple to let the beauty if the pages shine. Each double page set features a family wedding photo on one side and journaling on the other.

The cover of this book features a wonderful embossed script and timepiece design and a Patsy Gaut quote that reads "Add a smile to your day and hours melt into minutes." I highlighted the embossed design and the edges of the cover with Amaretto PowderPuff Chalking Ink.

I added color to this page with Amaretto PowderPuff Chalking Ink and a water brush.

Simply swipe the water brush across the ink pad and paint the color onto the page.  With 24 colors of PowderPuff Chalking Ink to chose from, adding that perfect shade of color to your projects is easy! The high quality cardstock pages of this album hold up well to water!

The Babies-Kids-Family Itty Bitty Vellum Box Set contains 50 ready to use poems and quotes that will touch your heart and make you smile. This beautiful verse is so perfect for wedding photos and is just as relevant now as it was in 1925!

I added glaze to the timepiece designs on this page to add a subtle shine.

A simple bow and another vellum quote from the Babies-Kids-Family Itty Bitty Vellum Box Set was all I needed to finish this page.

I added glitter glue to the pattern on this page for a fabulous sparkle.

Some Kind of Wonderful Arch - Tando Creative

I'm sharing an arch I created for Tando Creative today. The theme this month on the Challenge Blog is Blue, Purple and White. I started with an arch from the Secret Door Kit and a book page.  I used a portion of the gorgeous Poppy Mask and some molding paste to add some dimensional flowers to my piece.

Once the flowers were dry I painted them with Twinkling H2Os. I also painted some chipboard flowers from the Mini Floral Grab Bag

I covered the cloud with a layer of Pearl Mica Flake.

I designed this arch to complement the Daydream Arch that I created for Tando Creative back in February.

Up for grabs this month are 4 pieces of Tando chipboard of your choice!  All you have to do is create a piece incorporating the monthly theme and link to the Tando Creative Challenge Blog. You don't have to use Tando products, but, if you do you'll be entered into the draw twice, doubling your chances to win. We don't have many rules, as rules spoil the fun, but in order to be in with a chance of winning we do ask that your project is entered for a maximum of 5 challenges, including Tando. Thanks for stopping by today!  We can't wait to see your creations.

Supplies: Chipboard: Tando Creative; Sticker: October Afternoon; Mask: Tando Creative; Ribbon: Offray; Pearls: Quick Quotes; Molding Paste: Golden; Pearl Mica Flake: Golden; Twinkling H2Os: Creative Imaginations; Mist: Studio Calico; Ink: Ranger

Soccer Mini Album - Moxxie

Hi! I'm sharing a soccer themed mini album for Moxxie today. My girls are playing soccer this summer and I thought a mini album would be a fun way to document their first involvement in a team sport. I used the Moxxie Soccer collection.  I love that the colors of this line are a neutral black and white! I added the accent color of my daughter's teams for a bright pop of color and I embellished the pages with the Soccer Rub-ons.

I created 6 pages for each daughter. One set is shown above.  I kept the design simple for now and may go back and add more embellishments once I have the photos in place.

Thankful Journaling Card Album - Paper Wings Productions

Hi! I'm sharing a fun project that I created with the Paper Wings Productions May Nesting Components Mixed Media Kit and some of my favorite quick and easy mixed media techniques today. You can read all about the kit contents HERE and can purchase this limited edition kit from the Paper Wings Productions Store while supplies last.

When I saw the packages of Pink Paislee Journaling Cards and Paper Goods I immediately thought mini album! I incorporated the majority of the kit contents into this album. I added color and designs to both the front and the back of each journaling card. I used the Thankful Clear Stamp Set, which is included in the kit, for the sentiment on the cover and I tied everything together with a piece of seam binding.

I wanted this album to be pretty and practical so I also made a mini photo album with some of the smaller cards that were part of the Paper Goods embellishment package that ties into my larger album.

I added a gorgeous script pattern to the front of each Journaling Card with my favorite Background Writings Stamp and some gold embossing powder. To add a splash of color I scribbled several colors of Distress Markers onto a stamp block, spritzed the block with water, and then gently pressed the Journaling Card onto the block. Stamp pads will also work for this technique!

Once the Journaling Cards were dry, I embellished them with Paper Goods, flowers and rhinestones.

The back of each Journaling Card is blank. I used the She Art Coffee Filter Sheets and Pink Paislee Press Ons to add pattern and color to the cards. I used the Dylusions Ink Spray to add splatters of white paint to each card.

Like the front of the cards, I embellished several of the back of the cards with Paper Goods, flowers and rhinestones.

I used the Sticky Back Canvas ATCs and several of the clip art images for image transfers. The canvas adds some great texture to my album! To transfer images to the canvas ATCs, cut several images from the clip art sheet. Next, peel of the backing of the ATCs and apply the images, color side down, to the sticky backing of the ATC. Press down to seal the image to the ATC. Lightly score the back of the image with a pair of scissors and spritz with water. Then, gently rub the paper away to reveal the transferred image.

Here are my completed embellished image transfer cards.

Here are the front and back of my cards. The Pink Paislee Paper Goods package included two larger cards that I used for the front and back covers of my album.

Thanks for stopping by today and let your creativity take flight!
