Vintage Button Felt Flower Tutorial by Dana Tatar
I'm sharing a quick and easy flower tutorial today that uses felt and some vintage findings and buttons from Zeus and Zoe. These flowers would be perfect for a soft romantic page or as a fun embellishment for a fall or winter themed project.

Die-Cut Felt Flower Petals and Base
Step One: Cut two flowers from a piece of felt using your favorite flower die. Also cut a small circle from a piece of felt for the base of the flower.

Step Two: Cut the flower petals apart. Cut one set of petals to about 1-inch in length. Cut the second set of petals to about 3/4-inch in length.

Kickin' It - Moxxie

Hi! I'm sharing a Kickin' It 2-pager created with the NEW Moxxie Soccer Collection. I used 2 pieces of the same patterned paper for the base of my pages. I rotated the patterned paper on the right side of my layout 180 degrees so that the soccer balls would line up in the middle of the page. I then cut away the "Soccer" lettering from the page on the right, which was now upside down, and filled the space with patterned paper, dark green cardstock and the b-side of the bar code strip, which sports a fun star pattern, that I cut from the top of the patterned paper.

The "Star Player" sentiments were also cut from the b-side of a bar code strip! The "Kickin' It" sticker that I used for my title is from the Soccer Cardstock Sticker Set.

I used the medals that my daughters received for playing soccer as fun embellishments.

Explore - Inspired Blueprints #102

It's time for another Inspired Blueprints reveal! I had a lot of fun with this sketch. The 6x8 photo spot on the sketch looked like a file folder to me, so I added on to my page and topped it with a smaller photo and embellishments. I moved some of the other elements from the sketch around my page, but I think I included most of them somewhere!

Blossom Mini Album - Quick Quotes + Want2Scrap Blog Hop!

Hi! Quick Quotes and Want2Scrap have teamed up for a blog hop! I've had a blast working with Want2Scrap products this month and I'm excited to be sharing how I embellished the gorgeous Want2Scrap Flower Chipboard Album!

I made a fun discovery while I was working on this album. I pulled out the Summer Breeze Collection because I wanted to play up the flower theme of this album and the floral prints in the line are amazing. As I was looking for embellishments, I found that the new Dusty Road Collection blends extremely well with the Summer Breeze collection! Look for the Dusty Road Chipboard Die-Cuts and cardstock accents on my pages.

The Summer Breeze 500 patterned paper had the perfect quote for the centerpiece of my cover. I scanned, decreased the size of the quote, and then printed the text to fit inside the window. I framed the window with Want2Scrap Nestabling Heart Circles Brown Rhinestones. I cut the beautiful blooms from the Summer Breeze 400 patterned paper and accented each flower with Lemonade and Java PowderPuff Chalking Ink, a Want2Scrap Turquoise Baby Bling Rhinestone and some hand stitching.

I took the opportunity to scrap some everyday photos for this album. I paired each photo with a quote and plenty of bling!

Happy Birthday Card - Creative Inspirations Paint

Hi! I'm sharing a small birthday card for the "Ribbon and Bling" Challenge theme this week at Creative Inspirations Paint. One of my favorite features about Creative Inspirations paints and glitters, is the subtle shimmer. I love that I'm able to create colorful projects with an elegant finish.

I dyed the seam binding with Turquoise Paint. I covered the white flowers on the card with Resplendence Angel Dust Glitter. This glitter is super fine for a fabulous iridescent shimmer. I added a Jeweled Inspiration to the center of my bow for a final pop of bling.

Sea Card - Paper Wings Productions

Hi! I'm sharing a card that I created with the July Nesting Components Mixed Media Kit for Paper Wings Productions today. If you love the sand, sun and surf, you're going to want to pick up this kit! I feel home when I'm on the beach, and that was my inspiration for my project.

My favorite items in this kit are the metallic accents from the Pink Paislee Luxe Circles and Rub-Ons and the Lindy's Stamp Gang Madonna Robe Blue Gold Two-Toned Embossing Powder. I thought it would be fun to play up the metallic elements in the kit so I embossed a piece of aluminum and added color with the Madonna Robe Blue Gold Two-Toned Embossing Powder.

Step One: Add watermark ink directly to the inside of the embossing folder, slip the piece of aluminum inside the folder and run the folder through an embossing machine. Remove the aluminum from the folder, sprinkle with embossing powder and heat to set. Note: If you are using an aluminum sheet, the metal will become very hot upon heating, so please be careful! Depending on which side of the embossing folder carried the watermark ink, either the embossed or debossed area will be colored.

Here is what my piece of aluminum looked like after embossing.

Step Two: Using the Seaside Cling Stamp Set from the July Kit, stamp the sentiment onto a piece of cardstock. Punch the sentiment from the cardstock with a shaped frame die. Apply ink to the sentiment using a sponge dauber and the metal die as a guide.

Step Three: Select a piece of patterned paper for the card base, I'm using a piece 6x6 cardstock from the Pink Paislee Hope Chest Collection that I had leftover from my June Nesting Components Kit, and randomly apply circles and stars from the Pink Paislee Luxe Rub-Ons Set.

Step Four: Assemble the base of the card. Add some chipboard pieces from the Pink Paislee Luxe Circles Set across the center of the card.

Step Five: Add an image from the By The Sea Clip Art Sheet, the stamped sentiment from Step Two and other embellishments to finish the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! You can pick up the July Kit, as well as the previous June Kit that I used for this project, from the Paper Wings Productions Store while supplies last!

Pucker Up! - Quick Quotes

I'm sharing a layout that uses part of the May Club Q Mini Album Kit and some patterned papers from the Dusty Road and Be Bold collections for Quick Quotes today. I just loved the citrus slices from the album kit and decided to bring a piece out of the album and onto my page!

I had almost as much fun putting this layout together as I did making lemonade with my daughters! The lemon slice chipboard and vellum piece, and the flowers and leaves, were part of the mini album kit, which made embellishing my page quick and easy! I secured the lemon slice to my layout with adhesive foam so the light shines through the vellum in a fantastic way. I dressed up my plain chipboard letters and flower centers with self adhesive rhinestones from Want2Scrap.

I couldn't resist adding a little more shine to my page. I used a Want2Scrap Frilly Flourish Swirl to round out my flower cluster.

Quick Quotes Supplies:

Dusty Road 300
Be Bold 700
Lemonade PowderPuff Chalking Ink

Love Plaque - Zeus and Zoe

Thanks so  much for stopping by today! I'm sharing my last project as part of the Zeus and Zoe Design Team team. It's been great being a part of this team and I hope I have inspired you with my projects!

I created this plaque with one of Marivic's stunning Berry71Bleu Handmade Tags. I love the colors on this tag and the gold accents. Using the tag as my inspiration, I added a brightly colored patterned paper to a piece of cardboard. I used molding paste, a DecoArt Jacobean Floral Stencil and Glamour Dust Glitter Paint to add a floral design to my base.

This quote sticker is part of the 7 Dots Studio Hopefully collection and fit perfectly with the love theme of my piece. I tied a piece of May Arts ribbon around the plaque and highlighted the edges with some acrylic glaze as a finishing touch.

You can find more of my work at the Zeus and Zoe sister site Berry71Bleu.
