Floral Arch - Tando Creative

Hi! I'm sharing an arch I created for the Flower Power theme this week on the Tando Creative Design Blog. I backed an Arabian-Style Layered Arch Frame with Susan K. Weckesser Live in Color floral patterned paper. I then used the Poppy Mask with a white paint dabber to add another layer of flowers to the background. I chose several flowers from the Flowers with Stems Grab Bag, they went so well with the whimsical patterned paper, and colored them with ink. I wrote a quote by Mahatma Gandhi around the frame with a black journaling pen, which reads; "To forget how to dig the earth and to tend the soil is to forget ourselves." To finish this piece I covered the chipboard with a coat of glaze.

You can find this chipboard, mask and more in the Tando Creative Retail Store! We'd love to have you join the Flower Power Challenge! To be in with a chance of winning some great Tando goodies of your choice, please make a piece based on our weekly themes and link your project, not just your blog, using the inlinkz tool located at the top of the Tando Blog. C'est Magnifique July Kit Projects

Hi! I'm sharing the projects I created with the C'est Magnfique July Kits today. I had a blast working with the Tim Holtz Correspondence collection! I used items from the Main Kit, Flower Add-On, Embellishment Add-On and Mixed Media Kit for each of my projects.

The B-sides of the Correspondence collection have a wonderful mix of small prints. I love the subtle red polka dots!

I played up the dot background color by adding bright red flowers and ribbon.

I had fun with a neutral color palette for this second page. I flipped the fun red specialty Anna Griffin paper from the Embellishment Kit over and placed the white side up to make a decorative photo mat.

I used the chain from the Blue Moon jewelry kit to show the flight path and secured it to the page with small heart brads.

My favorite element from the Correspondence paper pad are these gorgeous red flowers. I used the stencil from the Mixed Media Kit with gesso to add a subtle print to the background. I embellished several of the stars with dots of Liquid Pearls.

For my last project, I created a purse for my daughter from the blue jean pocket and denim strips from the Embellishment Kit.

I attached everything with hot glue so this project came together quick and easy!

I hope you have enjoyed my projects! Thanks so much for stopping by today! I have one more layout created with this kit to share for the July Sketch Challenge. I hope you'll stop by again on the first of the month for the sketch reveal and inspiration from the Design Team!

The July Add-Ons and the Mixed Media Kit are available for purchase now from the C'est Magnifique Store. The July Main Kit will be available on June 30th.

Embossed Fiesta Print Leather Cuff - Clearsnap

Embossed Fiesta Print Leather Cuff Tutorial by Dana Tatar

Hi! I'm sharing a piece of jewelry that I created for Clearsnap today. Adding character to a plain leather cuff is easy and fun with the Clearsnap Fiesta Queue and Clearsnap Embossing Powder. This fun statement piece will brighten up my wardrobe all Summer long!

How to Color a Leather Bracelet with Pigment Ink by Dana Tatar

Step One: I used the Altenew Modern Beadwork Stamp Set to create a stencil for inking the leather cuff. I stamped one design onto a piece of scrap cardstock three times and then cut the center stamp out of the cardstock to create a guide for inking. This template ensures that my colorful design will be the same size down the entire bracelet. I then used the Clearsnap Colorbox Fiesta Cat's Eye Pigment Ink Queue to add vibrant color to the leather cuff.

How to Seal Pigment Ink to Leather with Embossing Powder by Dana Tatar

Step Two: The generous drying time of pigment ink makes it great for embossing! I covered the inked bracelet with Clearsnap Clear Embossing Powder and applied heat to seal the color. Note: This step is a must! Pigment ink is not permanent until embossed!

Step Three: Use the same stamp from Step One, with Colorbox Dragonfly Black Pigment Ink, to add a beadwork pattern to the bracelet. I chose to stamp the blue segments of color.

Moxie - Berry71Bleu

Hi! I'm sharing my take on Denise's Stamp It Up June Challenge for Berry71Bleu today. A fabulous sentiment stamp about dogs from Viva Las Vegastamps! and a sweet photo my husband's cousin's dog Moxie was my starting point for this page. I also used the current sketch from Blue Fern Studios to give me some direction.

I used a wonderful grey piece of 7 Dots Studio Destination Unknown patterned paper for the base of this layout. I love the neutral background! I then added color with pieces of scrap paper, vintage postcards from my Zeus and Zoe Kit, Blue Fern Studios Mini Ring Things and Royal Monarch chipboard, ribbon and flowers.

The sweet sentiment stamp from Viva Las Vegastamps! reads: The reason dogs have so many friends is that they wag their tails instead of their tongues.

Bold Teardrop Necklace - Tando Creative

Hi! I'm haring a fun necklace that I created for Heat It Up theme this week on the Tando Creative Design Blog. I wear a lot of black, so when I wear jewelry I like bold colorful accents. I started with an Oval Teardrop Jewelry Chipboard (you get two in a package!) and added several bright colors of Iced Enamels Relique Powder. I set the color with a heat gun. This was a quick and easy project!

You can find this chipboard and more in the Tando Creative Retail Store! We'd love to have you join the Heat It Up Challenge! Baoding Ball Gift Box - Gauche Alchemy

Chinese Baoding Ball Gift Box by Dana Tatar

Hi! I'm sharing my take on the Gauche Alchemy June Mood Board challenge today. I have a set of Baoding balls that I absolutely love. For those of you who may be unfamiliar with Baoding balls, they are also known Chinese meditation balls and are a traditional product of Baoding, China, thought to have been created during the Ming dynasty. Two or more Baoding balls are rotated repetitively in the hand to improve manual dexterity and strength, and they are also said to assist in injury recovery. Most Baoding balls made and used today are constructed as a pair of hollow spheres, one inside the other, with a chime between which rings as the inner ball strikes it. I find the repetitive movement and the chimes a relaxing and a great stress reliever. I recently picked up a set for a friend and was inspired by the Mood Board to embellish the box.

I topped the box with a bright yellow ribbon, glass floral vines, coins and a stamped image that I colored and glazed.

Graduation Party: Tinted Mason Jars - Clearsnap

Hi! I'm sharing how I tinted this mason jar to create a spirited centerpiece for an upcoming graduation party on the Clearsnap Blog today. The graduation decorations that I saw in the stores were a bit impersonal and lacked color. I adapted a technique that I read in Country Woman magazine to tint mason jars to match my school colors. These pretty mason jars will add a touch of elegance to my party without breaking the bank!

Beach Hut Mixed Media Board - Tando Creative

Hi!I'm sharing the beach themed mixed media board I created for the Color Challenge this week on the Tando Creative Design Blog. I used Ranger paint dabbers to add color to a Mixed Media Board. I then added a fun image and some dimensional paint. I used the same paint dabbers on a Mini Beach Hut and number from the Arthur Number Set. I attached the hut to the board and finished it with a touch of glitter. I'm ready for dinner on the beach!

Inspired Fiery Ink Card - Clearsnap

Hi! I'm sharing a card that I created for the Clearsnap June Color Inspiration Challenge today. At the beginning of every month, Clearsnap posts an inspiration challenge on the Clearsnap Blog featuring inspired fashion, trends, and a few inkpads to inspire you to create something during the month. The mood board this month features fiery shades of red and orange!

I had a lot of fun creating this card with stamps and Clearsnap ink! I selected Izink, Pigment Stamp Pads and a Spritzer in colors to match the mood board. I then randomly stamped, brushed and splattered ink onto a piece of white cardstock. I sped up the drying process with a heat gun and then cut a portion of my print to fit this card. I finished my design with a simple sentiment sticker.

Thanks for stopping by today! If you want the chance to have your work featured on the Clearsnap Facebook Page, link up your project to the Clearsnap Blog.
