Be Mine - Pion Design

Hi! I'm sharing a layout I created for Pion Design today. I was inspired by the Pion Design February Challenge. I used the gorgeous To my Valentine collection for this page. Just like the mood board, I included flowers, hearts, butterflies, and an old photograph in my design. As usual, I found many wonderful images and sentiments on the patterned papers to cut out and include on my page.

I inked and painted this chipboard heart and then filled in the center space with a piece of patterned paper that is covered with small white hearts.

The couple in this vintage family wedding photo, dating back to 1925, is my Great-Grandfather John and Great-Grandmother Mabel. I just love this picture and have scrapped this photograph several times. I have used a scanned and copied photograph in my previous designs. As you can see above, this is the original photo. I think this paper collection is so beautiful, and I'm really happy with how this page turned out, so I thought this page deserved what I had been holding back to be truly special.

I cut the large lace heart from the In my Heart patterned paper and used it as a photo mat. The smaller red hearts were cut from the 6x6 Forget Me Not patterned paper. One feature that I love about the 6x6 designs, besides the fun smaller size, is that all the 6x6 designs are single-sided.

I cut numbers to use for the date from the Borders and 6x6 Roses of Love patterned papers.

I finished this page with some deep red flowers for a vibrant pop of color.

I hope I have inspired you! If you're still creating love themed projects this month, we'd love to have you join the Pion Design February Challenge.

XOXO - Pion Design

Hi! I'm sharing a layout that I created for Pion Design today. I drew inspiration for the design of this page from my Niece’s darling dress, which is covered with black and white text, red hearts, and lace.

I enjoyed cutting many of the beautiful floral elements, vintage postcards, tags, and cherubs from the patterned papers and tucking them into my design.

I used shimmery paint on the background and foil letters for the title to help add a touch of glamour to the page.

I hope I have inspired you! If you're still creating love themed projects this month, we'd love to have you join the Pion Design February Challenge.

ColorBox Pearl Rain Nebulae - Clearsnap

Spray Ink and Glitter provided by Clearsnap.

Hi! I'm sharing a fun kids craft using the NEW ColorBox® Pearl Rain Spray on the Clearsnap blog today. My daughters have been asking a lot of questions about the solar system. As a parent, this both excites and scares me! I'm not an expert on the topic of space, so I'm having a blast learning right along with my children. I thought it would be great to pair some simple space facts with a quick and easy hands-on art project to create these colorful nebulae. I had a lot of fun sneaking some learning into this project and my girls are enjoying explaining their nebulae to their friends. It's a win-win! Stop by the Clearsnap blog for the full tutorial!

Dream Card - Tando Creative

Hi! I created this card for the Recipe Challenge on the Tando Creative Design Blog. We were challenged to use 1 stencil, 2 buttons and 3 colors. I used the Long Flourish Mask with three colors of Distress Ink. I stacked two circle buttons from the Buttons Grab Bag on top of each other and attached them to the bottom of the inked flourish. I then topped the buttons with a sentiment sticker. I mounted the design onto an embossed card base to finish.

You can find the pieces I used for this card, and more, in the Tando Creative Retail Store! We'd love to see what you create for our Recipe Challenge! To be in with a chance of winning some great Tando goodies of your choice, please make a piece based on our weekly themes and link your project, not just your blog, using the inlinkz tool located at the top of the Tando Blog. You don't have to use any Tando product, but, if you do, you will be entered into the draw twice! There are no limits to how many times you enter, however, we do request that you only enter your piece for 5 challenges. We look forward to seeing your creations!

Mini Heart Canvas - Tando Creative

Hi friends! I created this 3x3 canvas for the Anything Goes theme this week on the Tando Creative Design Blog. This mini canvas was the perfect size to display the Hearts and Arthur Numbers from the Tando Mini Range. I was able to alter this canvas quickly, but this piece was still made with love! I like using these small canvases for gift toppers instead of a bow. My favorite item on this piece, other than the amazing chipboard, is the fun eyelash trim.

You can find the pieces I used for this canvas in the Tando Creative Retail Store! We'd love to see what you create for our Anything Goes challenge! To be in with a chance of winning some great Tando goodies of your choice, please make a piece based on our weekly themes and link your project, not just your blog, using the inlinkz tool located at the top of the Tando Blog. Love This Smile - Stuck?! Sketches

Hi! It's time for the mid-month reveal at Stuck?! Sketches! I borrowed a sweet photo of my Niece for this page. This little girl is definitely a sweetheart, so I went a little heart-crazy with the paper and embellishments. I found this fun bright pink scalloped die-cut while looking for patterned paper for this layout and just had to include it, so I expanded the stitched circle element from the sketch and moved it to the background as a base for the rest of the design elements. This layout is now hanging in my Niece's room, which I why I secured the pink paper to a 12x12 base, but I think this page would look absolutely darling as a circular piece.

We'd love to have you join us this month! Our sponsors are Lindy's Stamp Gang and ScrapMuch?

Visit the Stuck?! Sketches Blog to see what the rest of the designers have created. To enter for a chance to win, link your layout up in the right sidebar of the Stuck?! Sketches Blog by February 28th. All prizes winners are selected randomly using Random.org. When linking your layouts, please make sure it is linked to the specific post your layout is in, not your blog as a whole, as it can be hard later in the month to find your layout. You can also link from any gallery including Flickr or Facebook, but we may not be able to comment. Feel free to combine this sketch with no more than one other non-sketch challenge. Please include a link back to Stuck?! Sketches on your blog entry for our challenge.

Rustic Heart Card - Tando Creative

Hi! I created this fun Valentine's Days card for the Love and Hearts theme this week on the Tando Creative Design Blog. I painted a Rustic Heart with white acrylic paint and then cut pieces of patterned paper to fill in the white space in the chipboard design. I finished this simple card with a button embellishment, gold foil number stickers and a piece of washi tape.

You can find the piece I used for this card, and more, in the Tando Creative Retail Store! We'd love to see what you create for our Love and Heart challenge! To be in with a chance of winning some great Tando goodies of your choice, please make a piece based on our weekly themes and link your project, not just your blog, using the inlinkz tool located at the top of the Tando Blog. February Gecko Galz Samples

Hi! I'm sharing the February projects I created for Gecko Galz today. I decided to create cards this month. For this first card I used the Love Potion #9 Digital Craft Pack, the Alter It Digital Collage Set, and the Cute Clips Digital Collage Set. I printed the Cute Clips set onto sticker paper and carefully cut out each image to create my own stickers.

I had a lot of fun creating this round card! I used images from the Let's Make Lemonade Digital Collage Sheet and a lemon slice from a Quick Quotes scrapbook kit. I filled in the space around the images with flowers. I used clear letter stickers for the sentiment. I finished this card with a pearl pen and a doily for a fun feminine touch.

I'm running low on handmade cards and I think it's always a good idea to have a birthday card on hand. I used the new Oh Cupid! Digital Mini Paper Pack (blue arrows) and two images from the Birthday Bash Digital Collage Set.

I created this Love mini album for the Gecko Galz February "Hearts and Kisses" Customer Challenge. We'd love to have you join our challenge this month! There is only one rule, and that is you need to use at least ONE product from Gecko Galz. It can be one of the free products, stamps, collage images, or digital papers. The winner will receive a $25 Gecko Galz Shopping Spree! You can read more about my mini album HERE. You can find more information about the challenge and see the inspirational pieces my fellow Gecko Galz created HERE.

I created this ATC last month, but wanted to share it again. I covered the front of an Artist Trading Card with the Huntsman patterned paper from the Gecko Galz Ever After Digital Paper Pack. I then covered a Small Straight Edged Arch with a door from the Gecko Galz Behind Door #1 Digital College Sheet. I carefully cut a door opening between the base arch and the arch frame so that the door can open, revealing a secret message. I used a piece of clip art from the new Gecko Galz Valentine Wishes Digital Collage Set and placed it behind the door. You can find more information about the chipboard I used for this piece HERE.

Here is the free digital stamp I have for you this month. I hope you use it to create something fantastic! Thanks for stopping by today!

Sweetheart - Pion Design

Hi! I'm super excited to share my first layout created for Pion Design! The To my Valentine collection was just what I needed to document this sweet photo of a friend’s daughter. This beautiful line is fantastic for Valentine's Day crafting, but I enjoy scrapping the girls, so I plan to use this collection all year long!

The Tags and Borders patterned papers have a wonderful selection of postcards and titles to cut out for use on a variety of projects. I used several of the designs on this layout to build up interesting layers beneath my photo. I used one of the border sentiments for the title of this layout.

I absolutely love the heart pattern on the backdrop in the photo and I wanted to duplicate that look on my page. I used a heart stencil with pink ink to add light pink hearts to the background of the page. I used a piece of pink cardstock from the Pion Design Palette to help soften the red/black/cream color palette of the To my Valentine line. I stamped the pink cardstock using a script stamp and gold ink. I then embossed the stamping with clear embossing powder for a dimensional finish.

I cut three red hearts from the Tags patterned paper and glued them around the photo. I love that they could be mistaken for a stamped image at a distance. I think the addition of the red paper hearts adds a bit of dimension to the background. I finished my design by adding pink embellishments and a sprinkling of gold mica flakes and pink sequins.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
