One of my favorite sets of Tando chipboard is the lantern set, released last fall.  I had a lot of fun aging my chipboard and the chain with a copper surfacer and patina green and black tinting solutions.  I colored some sticky-back canvas with mist, which I then cut into squares and rectangles, to create the background for my tag.


This glass piece is an amp tube from my husband's guitar amp.  I think it looks like a funky light bulb and it fit perfectly in the center of this chipboard piece.  In keeping with the music theme, I used some of my favorite song lyrics written by Kurt Cobain; "The sun is gone, but I have a light."

  8. I hope your husband didn't notice his guitar amp missing! It's so great to put stuff around the house to various uses in our crafting. I could definitely do with remembering that quote in the winter months :-) TFS

  20. This is just amazing!! I have so many little bits and baubles like your amp piece in my stash because one of my close friends is an electrical engineering teacher....so she jsut empties her desk into a box and brings me treasures!! This is such a great tag!
