Welcome to the Genuinely Jane Stuios(GJS)/Creative Inspirations Paint(CIP) Blog Hop! If you came from Lori's Blog you're in the right place. If you're visiting my blog today for another reason, and you would like a chance to win some amazing products, please head over to the Creative Inspirations Paint Blog to start the hop at the beginning!
Before we get to the good stuff, let me give you a little information on each of these two awesome companies:
Genuinely Jane Studios manufactures small and medium size wood mini-albums for mixed media, scrapbooking and altered art in many shapes and sizes. All of the albums are handmade on site in their Central Missouri facility. In addition to their albums, they also carry other art supplies in their online store.
Creative Inspirations Paint manufactures non-toxic, water based, translucent, shimmery paint that can be used for scrapbooking, card making, mixed media, altered art and more. They also carry embossing powders, glitter and UV resin. Using the paints is as simple as "Shake, Open and Play!" The paints are some of the most vivid you will find on the market and are made in Washington.
All of the designers from both teams have joined together to show you what can be created using the albums and paint! Be sure to check both the Genuinely Jane Studios and Creative Inspirations Paint websites to see all of the wonderful products!
When I saw this owl album in the Genuinely Jane Studios catalog I immediately fell in love! The owl was a little stern looking to begin with but I took care of that with some patterned paper, feathers, googly eyes and Creative Inspirations Paint products.
I added some Creative Inspirations Jeweled Inspirations to my embellishment cluster for some extra shine. I was thrilled when I found this feathered piece at Michael's. It saved me from gluing the feathers down one by one!
I'm using the Little Yellow Bicycle Fern and Forest Girl collection for this album. I selected 9 colors of Creative Inspirations Paint that complemented this line. I have yet to find a paper collection that there aren't several colors of CI paints that match perfectly!
I painted several chipboard embellishments to add some extra sparkle and shine to my pages.
More painted chipboard!
I added some Creative Inspirations Jeweled Inspirations to my embellishment cluster for some extra shine.
I embossed this fancy flourish onto a journaling tag with Creative Inspirations Deliquesce Fine White Embossing Powder.
I created this heart with Creative Inspirations Resinesense, their NEW UV resin. I then covered the heart with Resplendence Angel Dust Glitter and painted the edge with Tickled Pink paint.
I left the back of my album natural and added a simple transparent flower. I LOVE the look of the birch! These Genuinely Jane albums look beautiful just as they are and could certainly support a clean and simple design, letting the natural beauty of the wood shine!
I used 6 of the 9 colors of paint that I chose to match this paper collection; Tutu Pink, Green Olive, Tan, Sky Blue, Tickled Pink and Chocolate; along with the clear Jeweled Inspirations, Fine White Deliquesce Embossing Powder and Resplendence Angel Dust Glitter. If you want to work with this same paper collection, Silver Frost, Antique Silver and Emerald would also look fabulous!
Like what you see? Well, guess what? There are a couple of great prizes being given away at the end of this hop by both companies! You have until Midnight EST on Friday, June 7th to complete the hop.
GJS - Gift Certificate for Wood Albums valued at $25
CIP - 5 paints, 5 embossing powders or glitters and 1 bottle the new Resinesence
