Hi! I'm sharing a layout that I created for Challenge #11 at 13arts. I've been holding on to some beautiful Frosted Life and All is Love patterned papers for some time now and I found myself with a free morning and the time to make something fun! I did my best to create a symmetrical design. Each half of the page has the same number of embellishments although the size, color and shape of each element is different, which is close enough for my dominant left-brain!
I didn't want to cover up the super cool peeled paint design on the patterned paper, so I only applied a light coat of gesso and some mist splatters to select areas of the background.
Here's the inspirational challenge image. I incorporated the color palette, horizontal and vertical lines and small circles into my design. I also tried to add intricate design elements like those shown in the beautiful architectural photo with a string heart and fancy chipboard pieces.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! If you want to join the fun you have until the 27th to link up your challenge piece to the 13arts blog.
