Hi! I created this card for the Clearsnap April Color Challenge. I was inspired by both the color palette and the design elements in the collage for this card.
Clearsnap Supplies:
Ann Butler ColorBox Crafter's Ink - Blueberry
ColorBox Pigment Ink - Applemint
Teresa Collins Pigment Ink - Passion Pink
Teresa Collins Wood Mount Stamp - Live Today In All Caps
Step 1: Gently apply color from the ink pads listed above onto a craft mat or other slick surface. Mix the ink with a small amount of water and brush small squares of color onto a piece of white cardstock. Dry with a heat gun.
Step 2: Use a black pen to draw an outline around each colored square. Mount the colored paper onto a piece of blue cardstock, then a piece of green cardstock, and finally onto an A2 size blank kraft card.
Step 3: Cut a piece of 3x3-inch white cardstock. Apply Blueberry ink onto the Teresa Collins Live Today In All Caps Wood Mount Stamp and press the sentiment onto the cardstock. Mat the stamped sentiment onto a piece of pink cardstock. Place adhesive foam squares onto the back of the sentiment and attach to the left side of the card front.
Step 4: Color a chipboard fern with Applemint ink and dry with a heat gun. Glue the chipboard fern to the bottom right corner of the card and top with a pink felt flower.
Step 5: Secure a blue felt brad to the card front above the pink flower.
Step 6: Attach two metal jewels to the top right side of the card front.
What did you think? Will you try these techniques and this fab color combo? We’d love to see what you create – just leave a link in the comments on the Clearsnap blog to your project, on your blog or on Pinterest for a chance to win your choice of 2 ColorBox Queues. We'll randomly choose one winner from all of the entries and publish the winner's project on the Color Challenge post for the next month.
