Be Yourself Poured Ink ATC - ColoriQue by Lisa Marie Jimenez

Hi! I'm sharing an artist trading card today that I created using ColorBox ColoriQue by Lisa Marie Jimenez. I used a poured ink technique to create the embellishment on the center of this card. Unlike other poured ink techniques, this process only requires ONE product! I only used ColoriQue to create the circle sticker on this piece. I also used ColoriQue to color the cardstock, chipboard frame, glass gems, and decorative brass piece on this project. ColoriQue is so versatile!

The embellishment on this artist trading card is the first poured ink piece from the video.

If you'd like to create a similar trading card, follow these instructions.

Step 1: Use a paintbrush to apply Grape Vine ColoriQue to a blank artist trading card base. Apply ColorBox Black Crafter's Ink to a citrus slice stamp. Repeatedly stamp the card base until covered.

Step 2: Use an Art Dauber to apply Pacific Ocean ColoriQue to a chipboard artist trading card frame. Apply ColorBox Berry Crafter's Ink to a small polka dot banner stamp. Repeatedly stamp the chipboard frame until covered. Glue the chipboard frame onto the stamped artist trading card base.

Step 3: Clean a decorative brass piece with rubbing alcohol. Use a paintbrush to apply Poppy ColoriQue to the brass piece. Let dry. Sand the brass piece to highlight the raised areas. Cut a piece of burlap the same size as the brass piece. Glue the burlap to the back of the brass piece. Glue the brass piece onto the center of the trading card.

Step 4: Use the poured ink technique to create an embellishment for the center of the card. I used a blank foam sticker for this piece. Add several drops of Snow Summit, Poppy, Pacific Ocean, and Frisco Bay ColoriQue to a small plastic cup. Slowly pour the ink onto the sticker. Let the embellishment dry overnight. Apply a layer ColoriQue Sealant for a dimensional gloss finish. Glue the sticker onto the center of the card.

Step 5: Paint 4 small glass gems with Pacific Ocean ColoriQue. Once the gems are dry, glue one gems onto each corner of the card.

Step 6: Apply "Be Yourself" epoxy word stickers along the bottom of the brass piece.

Step 7: Attach a dark blue gemstone to the bottom of the card.
