I found this fabulous John Lennon quote poster in the Flow Book for Paper Lovers, Volume 1 and it was just what I needed to lift my spirits. The process of stamping and adding watercolor to this poster helped to calm my nerves.
I was inspired to stamp a border of wild flowers onto this poster by a beautiful card created by my Paper Wings teammate Larissa. She created a stunning floral card for the March Blog Hop. You can see her design HERE. The Paper Wings Productions Store has a fantastic selection of flower stamps, and I used quite a few of them here. I filled in some of the white space between the larger designs with leaf stamps from the Build A Wreath Clear Stamp Set. Be sure to use a waterproof archival ink when stamping for watercolor projects.
Once the border was full of stamped flowers, I added watercolor paint.
I'm not sure if I will frame this piece, or tuck it into my Project Life album. I hope I have inspired you! The next stop on the hop is Ashley's blog.

DeleteI’m just in awe of your fabulous project.
ReplyDeleteWhile some might feel stressful about moving, I am like you, I always feel excited about the new place more than I fear for the unknown, wishing you all the best for your move!
Thanks so much Kristy! I think moving is one of the benefits of being a military family. As soon as one place starts to feel a bit stale, it's time to move! Also, I love walking through houses and seeing how other people choose to design their space. ;)
DeleteI think the market is competitive everywhere! I can't imagine trying to find a home out of state - it's difficult enough to find one just in my local area. There are so few homes that they're bought 1-2 days after being on the market!
ReplyDeleteYes Ashley! We saw our favorite homes come on the market and go under contract in less than 24 hours. Everything would be easy if I had a bigger budget. :)
DeleteLove love love love love this! John Lennon is one of my faves!!! And loving what you did with his quote!!! GORGEOUS!! And good luck with the move, that has to be frustrating!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful project! Love this!
