Bird House Christmas Ornament - Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L + Stampendous Blog Hop

Hi! I'm sharing the a wood bird house ornament that I altered with products from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and Stampendous! for the Winter holiday season. I created layered bird embellishments using stamps and dies, embossing powder, and 3D Foam Circles. I also used Creative Photo Corners for shingles, and added frosty accents to the house for a more realistic and seasonal finish. Step 1. Add color to a small wood bird house using acrylic paint.

Step 2. Apply Black Creative Photo Corners to the roof of the bird house as shown.

Step 3. Stamp and heat emboss 3 copies of each bird from the Laurel Burch Heavenly Holiday Cling Stamp Set onto a piece of white cardstock. Also, stamp and heat emboss a sentiment onto white cardstock. Use the coordinating dies from this set to cut the birds and sentiment from the cardstock. Use scissors to cut the main bird body and the decorative holly bow pieces from 2 of each stamped bird.

Step 4. Use watercolor paint to color the stamped designs.

Step 5. Use 3D Foam Circles to layer stamped bird pieces on top of each other, creating 3-layer bird embellishments for the bird house.

Step 6. Use the Dual Tip Glue Pen to apply a thin layer of glue to the roof and base of the bird house. Sprinkle on Spoonful of Snow and apply heat to set.

Step 7. Secure the 3-D bird embellishments and seasonal flowers and greenery to the bird house.
