Hi! Creative Embellishments is a sponsor at More Than Words this month and I am thrilled to be a Guest Designer for the Main Challenge Future and Stars. The Main Challenge is based on a word inspiration (Future) and a creative challenge (Stars). I think about the future every day. I'm especially excited to see what the future holds for my daughters, who are a bright light in my life.
I incorporated stars into my design in several ways; with a stencil, a stamp, and with chipboard and other star-shaped embellishments. I applied pearl paste over the Star Bokeh Stencil to decorate the top left and bottom right corners of the base paper. Next, I created my own patterned paper with black ink and the Grunge Stars Stamp. I backed several nested chipboard stars with patterned paper. To help define the edges of the stars, I painted them black and then added a topcoat of glitter glue. I painted chipboard words, covered them with glitter and crackle paste, and secured them to the center of two of the larger nesting stars to create the title for this layout.
I used letter stickers to include the word future in my journaling, which reads: No matter what the future holds, I know you both are going to shine.
