Painted Leather Cuff Bracelet - Clearsnap

Burned and Painted Leather Cuff Bracelet with ColorBox Color Eclipse Mixed Media Ink from Clearsnap

Hi! I'm sharing a painted leather cuff bracelet that I altered for Clearsnap today. I used a Rollagraph to add a print to the cuff, which is so fun to stamp with if you haven't tried it. Next, I burned the stamped design to add texture, but also some edges that would help me paint inside the lines. Finally, I randomly applied ColorBox Color Eclipse Mixed Media Ink to the cuff until the segments were all colored. I had so much fun creating this wearable piece of art!

How to Stamp on Leather with Rollagraph Design Wheel and Archival Dye Ink

Step 1. Insert the Crackle Background Jumbo Design Wheel into a Jumbo Rollagraph Handle. Apply Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink to the Design Wheel. Roll the inked wheel along a leather cuff bracelet.

Step 2. Use a Walnut Hollow HotMarks (or similar) heat tool to trace the stamped design, burning the pattern into the leather.

Step 3. Use a paintbrush to add ColorBox® Color Eclipse to the shaped segments on the leather cuff bracelet.

Step 4 (Optional). Apply ColorBox® Color Eclipse Sealant to the bracelet to protect and seal the design. Let dry for at least 3 hours. I did not apply sealant to the cuff. I think it will look even better with some natural distressing due to wear.
