Hi! I'm sharing a colorful layout that I created with my ancestry composition results from 23andMe for Creative Embellishments today. I'm working on cataloging old family photos. There are so many people that I know absolutely nothing about. My DNA results are just another piece of the puzzle of who I am and where my relatives came from. I have a lot to uncover, but working with what I know gives me a small sense of accomplishment. I wanted to document my results in a fun way. I paired the colored map and pie chart from 23andMe with the colorful Jillibean Soup Shades of Color collection to create this scrapbook layout.
To begin, I enlarged my ancestry map in a word processing program to fit onto the 6-inch Globe. I left the chipboard natural to help my color coded map stand out. Next, I backed the globe with patterned paper. Then, I applied a sticker and a die-cut to the globe before securing it to the layout.
I mounted my composition results onto a white shipping tag. To help highlight the circular chart that surrounds my photo, I backed it with a colorful rainbow circle that I cut from patterned paper. I cut several more different sizes of rainbow circles from patterned paper to continue the circle shape theme across the page. Finally, I added a cardstock smile sticker under the photo a bright accent.
Thanks for stopping by today! I'd love to know if you're researching your ancestry composition. Leave me a note in the comments section. Maybe we're related!
