Hi! I'm sharing how to create blended ink backgrounds for Mother’s Day Cards using the new shades of ColorBox® DyeStress Ink for Clearsnap today. The new shades of ink are so gorgeous. I embossed a white Mother's Day greeting onto the front of each card for a high contrast sentiment that really pops off the blended ink backgrounds. I mounted these inked papers onto a simple white cardstock base with 3D Foam for subtle dimension. Handmade cards can be simple and beautiful!
Cut three 4x5.25 inch pieces of white cardstock. Apply watermark ink onto a Happy Mother’s Day stamp. Press the inked stamp onto the center of the white cardstock. Sprinkle the stamped image with white embossing powder. Gently tap off the excess embossing powder and use a heat tool to melt the powder. Repeat this process two more times with the remaining pieces of white cardstock.
Use a Color Blender to apply Aster, Mulberry, and Cabernet DyeStress Ink onto a piece of embossed cardstock. Continue to apply ink and blend until the desired coverage and color is achieved.
Use a Stylus to apply Mint, Caribbean, and Tahiti DyeStress Ink onto a piece of embossed cardstock. Continue to apply ink and blend until the desired coverage and color is achieved.
Use a Stylus to apply Princess, Bumble Bee, and Tomato DyeStress Ink onto a piece of embossed cardstock. Continue to apply ink and blend until the desired coverage and color is achieved.
