Hi! I'm sharing an Easter scrapbook layout that I made for Creative Embellishments today. When I saw the Some Bunny Loves You chipboard title in the Creative Embellishments Store, I knew right away that it was perfect for this trio of photos I snapped nearly 6 years ago. It is fun to look back at silly holiday pictures from this time in my life. My girls, and sweet basset hound Scamp, were always up for a photo shoot. My pre-teen daughters wouldn't be caught wearing bunny ears now!
I built up layers of colorful patterned paper on an 8.5 by 11 inch base. I used pastel pink and purple, and white acrylic paint to color the Some Bunny Loves You chipboard title. Once the paint was dry, I applied a layer of liquid glue to the word Bunny and the outer edge of the bunny ears, and then sprinkled on white glittered flock for a soft velvetlike finish.
I built my page design from the bottom up, and needed something along the top edge of the page. I cut two patterned paper strips to fit the space. I used the Bunny Stencil with white pigment ink to add a row of bunnies to the pink paper strip. Then, I sprinkled white embossing powder over the inked bunnies and heat to set. Using matching colors of ink and embossing powder yields a bolder finished design. These white bunnies really pop off the page.
I colored the back side of a Wood Veneer Conversation Heart with orange chalk ink and attached it to the bottom right corner of the photo of my basset hound, Scamp. I thought he deserved a special embellishment for being such a good sport!
