Lucky Shamrock St. Patrick's Day Card

Green Blended Dye Ink Greeting Card with Hand-Stitcked Lucky Sentiment

Hi! I'm sharing how to create a lucky shamrock St. Patrick's Day card today. Stamps make great templates for hand-stitched sentiments. I blended several colors of dye ink for the background of the card and then sprinkled gold embossing powder over the top for a sparkly finish.

Green Blended Dye Ink on Cardstock

1. Use Art Daubers to apply Shamrock and Citronella ColorBox DyeStress Ink onto a piece of white cardstock. Blend the inks where they meet in the center of the cardstock to create a third color.

2. Apply ColorBox Irish Archival Dye Ink to the back of the 3x3 Lucky Wood Mount Stamp. Press onto the bottom of the inked cardstock.

3. Punch holes over the stamped design using a needle. Thread the needle with green floss and stitching by hand until the design is filled in.

4. Add a touch of sparkle to the card with Gold Embossing Powder. Sprinkle Gold Embossing Powder over the cardstock. Apply heat to the underside of the cardstock to melt the powder without using embossing ink. Unlike glitter, this gold powder will not flake off!

5. Apply adhesive to the back of the embellished cardstock and mount onto a green cardstock card base.
