Sweetest M Bulldog Scrapbook Layout - Clique International

Hi! I'm sharing a layout that I created for Clique International that was inspired by the June 2020 Challenge Board. My Sister-in-Law posted this sweet pic of her dog recently. I really miss sweet and sloppy bulldog kisses!

The first element to catch my eye was the beautiful floral backdrop and the green and pink color palette.

I started building this layout by choosing patterned paper, which is always my favorite thing to do. This beautiful floral print paper is from the Altenew + The Stamp Market 6x6 Mega Paper Stack Sampler Kit. It matched the color palette from the challenge board perfectly. I used this palette to pull in additional prints into my design based on color. I love to mix prints, and color is a great way to mix and match patterns and still create a cohesive design. The pink stripe and black polka dot papers are from the same paper stack kit. The super fun chartreuse star print paper is from the Carta Bella and Pebbles Hope Base Kit. I used items from three additional kits to create this small title spot; acrylic die-cut and foam letter sticker from the American Crafts Our New Normal Base Kit, die-cut leaves from the Karin Joan for Studio Light Blooming Add-On Kit, and a yellow button from the Leaves of Grass Ephemera Pack.

I created a photo frame from a polaroid die-cut from the Our New Normal Base Kit. I cut the center image out and placed my photo behind it. I used vellum stickers, a butterfly that I cut from a journaling card, and a button to embellish the space around the photo frame. All of those embellishments are included in the Leaves of Grass Ephemera Kit. The vellum stickers are my new favorite embellishment and I'll definitely be using more of them soon!

I added a couple more die-cut leaves from the Blooming Add-On Kit using 3D Foam Squares for dimension.

I created a stacked layer of patterned papers down the center of my page using 6x6 sheets, so I had a seam to hide. I covered the seam with a piece of ribbon from the Leaves of Grass Ephemera Kit. I added a die-cut sticker from the Our New Normal Base Kit and a felt bow from my stash. I added a couple of black ink splatters to finish the layout.
