Alcohol Ink Artist Trading Cards - Clique International

Alcohol Ink and Foiled Vellum Artist Trading Cards

Hi! I'm sharing the trio of artist trading cards that I created for the Clique International October Challenge. I was inspired by the Clique International October Challenge Mood Board for the color palette and the Inktober Event for the inky background of these cards. I used the amazing American Crafts Urban Legend Base Kit and cardstock and alcohol ink from my stash to create these cards.

I has been a minute since I used my alcohol inks. I was super inspired by Birgit Koopsen's #GellInktober Series and used the same techniques she did to apply alcohol ink to my Gelli Plate and then lift the color from the plate with white acrylic paint.

Once I had my inked tags cut down to ATC size, I topped them with pieces of the Heidi Swapp Old School Vellum with Holographic Foil Accents from the kit. This foiled vellum is EVERYTHING! The vellum did mute my inked backgrounds a bit, but I thought that was worth it for the holographic shimmer I was able to add to these cards. I applied the vellum to the cards with an Adhesive Sheet from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L for a seamless finish.

Once my card bases were complete, I embellished them simply with die-cuts from the kit that I attached with 3D Foam Strips.
