Hi! I'm sharing the layout that I created for the More Than Words October 2020 Main Challenge today. The word challenge this month is NIGHT and the creative challenge is NO FLOWERS. Sitting around the campfire while vacationing at the lake during the summer is one event that I look forward to all year. We are far away from the city lights and the stars in the NIGHT sky are absolutely beautiful. The rising moon over the water is stunning. While trying to capture that view, I also took this picture of my family in shadow. The lack of light made this memory special. NO FLOWERS were necessary on this layout! I filled the background with stars.
I used the Creative Embellishments Star Bokeh Stencil with brown dye ink to add a subtle star print to the background of the layout. I added acrylic, acetate, and chipboard stars in various sizes and colors around the stenciling to match to colors on the patterned paper.
I think the large chipboard title across the top of the page is super fun!
We want to know what you get up to when the sun goes down! Do you go out partying at night, gaze at the stars, go to concerts, or maybe go camping? Or if you like being tucked up at home with wine and Netflix then we want to hear about that too! We need to see in your project how our word inspired you. If it isn't obvious in your work, then please explain it in your post. Many flowers close their petals at night, so we don't want to see any flowers on your project. Is this easy or difficult for you? Link up your project via the Linky tool on the More Than Words Challenges blog by the end of the month for a chance to win a prize package from one of our generous sponsors.
