Visual Storytelling: Fun with Chipboard Arrows - Clique International

Visual Storytelling Scrapbook Layout with Multiple Photos and Chipboard Arrows

Hi! I'm sharing a layout that I created for the Clique International Galentine's Day Crop. I used some fantastic kits from Clique International for this layout for Isa's Tic Tac Toe Challenge. We'd love to have you join the fun. Participate any time before the end of the month for a chance to win prize packages! More details are posted in The Clique Facebook Group.

Last February my daughter read a super fun and original novel by Lisa Graff entitled Tangle of Knots for a book report for her English class. In addition to being a fun read, the book also includes 9 delicious recipes. We had a lot of fun baking the cakes as a supplement to her assignment. I had just as much fun creating this layout as I did baking with my daughter. The vibrant colors on this page make me so happy.

To fulfill this challenge I chose the color red, hearts, and arrows, and used the Artist Remix Habitat and Studio Tekturek Strawberry Shake Kits from Clique International.

Chipboard Arrows with Red Acrylic Paint and Chipboard Stickers on a Scrapbook Layout

I found a set of Scenic Route Chipboard Arrows dated 2006 in my stash that were absolutely perfect for this project. It feels great to finally use them! I painted them a bright red and embellished them with cardstock stickers. The arrows were a fun way to help tell this story, connecting each photo together.

How to Embellish Pictures with Cardstock and Chipboard Stickers on a Scrapbook Layout

I used cardstock and chipboard stickers to embellish some of the photos. This was a baking marathon. Once we finished reading the book and writing the report, we only had a week to bake 9 recipes. We didn't mind completing this type of homework. The cakes were all delicious! Our family and friends are hoping we do something like this again soon.

I created the title for this page using a Studio Tekturek journaling card and stickers.
