Hi! I'm sharing the layout I created for the More Than Words February 2021 Main Challenge. The challenge offers Romance as the word inspiration and Rose as the creative challenge. I'm thankful everyday for the ROMANCE I share with my husband. We recently celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary. I was 17 when I asked him to attend our high school homecoming dance! I knew that night he was "the one" for me. I used a non-traditional color palette for a love-themed layout and fulfilled the creative challenge by adding blue ROSES.
The 49 and Market Vintage Artistry Wedgewood Collection were the perfect papers to use to document this photo of my husband and I taken on our trip to Punta Cana last February. I added fussy cut and paper roses to the side of the photo.
I embellished the bottom edge of the layout with simple paper strips, a die-cut, and a foam heart.
February is the month for ROMANCE! How will you share your feelings about that special person? Or maybe you'll choose to create about a famous romantic relationship or the long marriage of your grandparents. Maybe you'll be inspired by artists from the Romantic Period. Whoever or whatever you create a project about, we need to see a ROSE on your project, either the color or the object. Share your work via the linky tool on the More Than Words Challenges Blog before the end of the month for a chance to win a prize from one of our amazing sponsors.
Due to the many Covid-related postage issues we had last year, MTW is running the prize-giving in a different way. We are now dividing prizes up into regions so some sponsors only need to post within their own regions. The regions are: Australia and New Zealand, Europe, USA, and The Rest of the World. For my fellow US residents, this means you are competing for prizes from a much smaller pool of artists!
