Belated Birthday Shaker Card - Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L + Whimsy Stamps

 

Hi! I'm sharing a card I created for a collaboration between Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and Whimsy Stamps today. I can't get enough of the new 3D Foam Circle Frames from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. Creating a shaker feature with simple techniques has never been easier. The Cheeky Sentiments Stamp Set is super fun and versatile with a variety of fun sayings.

I chose a purple color palette for this card. I started by creating a background on the card base using dye ink and the Comic Half-Tone Stencil. Next, I assembled the shaker feature using white cardstock, 2 stacked 3D Foam Circle Frames, Buttons Galore Jelly Fish Sparkletz Mix, and a sheet of acetate. I used a paint pen to color the top and side edges of the shaker feature to cover the white foam. Then I applied a layer of glitter glue over the paint for a sparkly finish.

I created a small embellishment cluster for the bottom of the shaker from a painted chipboard flower, patterned paper leaves, and a stamped sentiment.
