Hi! I'm sharing a field notebook that I was inspired to create using some fashion inspiration I found on Pinterest and the gorgeous Prima Marketing Nature Lovers Sampler Kit for Clique International. The delicate pressed florals and neutral backgrounds on these garments had me thinking about the beauty of nature that surrounds me. The weather was gorgeous on Easter Sunday, so my family and I, along with my basset hound, went on a hike though a nearby nature preserve. I took a lot of photos of plants that caught my eye. I really enjoyed identifying and learning more about the local flora and recording my findings in a small notebook.

The Prima Marketing Nature Lover collection is absolutely beautiful! Some of the papers have metallic gold foil accents like this gorgeous cobalt blue paper I used for the cover of my notebook. In addition to the patterned papers, the kit also includes mini mulberry paper flowers, pressed flower charms, puffy stickers, and die-cut ephemera that are perfect for documenting nature. If you are a Prima fan and love earthy colors and botanical elements, you will love this kit!

I assembled each pair of pages in a similar fashion with a photo of the plant and the information that I learned. I then embellished the pages using patterned paper and embellishments from the kit. I cut small stamps from the Crate Paper Postmarked Patterned Paper (not included in the kit) and added them to the pages.

I tried to stick to a monochromatic color scheme for each plant. I used washi tape and dried flowers from my stash. The Clique Shop has similar Pressed Flower Ephemera and More Pressed Flower Ephemera.
