My oldest child traveled to Alaska with their 8th grade science class over the summer. The Creative Embellishments September Challenge was the perfect excuse to create a mini album to hold their memories. I started by applying map patterned paper to B6 Planner Covers.
Next, I punched holes in the binding and added eyelets so that I could use twine to secure the album signatures to the covers, which are simply folded and stapled sheets of white 8.5x11 cardstock that I trimmed to fit inside the covers. I added a wood veneer Travel Geo Tag to the top of the binding.
To embellish the front cover, I selected the Travel Corner and the word Explore from the Travel Word Set 1. I applied an iridescent paint to both of the chipboard pieces for a shimmery finish.
I'm planning on working with my child to fill the album with photos and keepsakes from their trip. I'll share some of the finished pages in an upcoming post.
