Hi! I'm sharing a scrapbook layout that I was invited to create for the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine Fall Cover Challenge. If you’ve seen the latest issue of the magazine you will have noticed that my work is not on the cover, but this layout did make it inside the magazine! I had a lot of fun creating this layout using the photo supplied by Creative Scrapbooker Magazine and one of my favorite chipboard designs from Creative Embellishments, the Crayons Set.
One of my favorite events during the last days of Summer is shopping for school supplies. I just love the smell of a fresh box of crayons! The chipboard Crayons Set was the perfect embellishment for me. I used Uni-Posca paint pens to color the chipboard pieces. I used 3D Foam Squares to hold the individual chipboard pieces of this set together to add dimension to the page.
I created an embellished photo corner using patterned paper and a portion of a burlap and felt star sticker. I love the texture this small piece adds to my design.
I created a small embellishment cluster on the side of the photo using die-cuts and puffy stickers.
I also added a die-cut and sticker to the top side of the layout to help move the eye around the page.
