Hi! I'm sharing a layout that I created with the Pinkfresh Happy Blooms Sampler Kit from Clique International. My oldest child saw a caribou, more commonly known as a reindeer, in the wild during their trip to Alaska last summer and these photos are fantastic! I decided to use a spring paper collection to bring a freshness to my seasonal crafting. I love this pastel color palette!
I had this large reindeer stencil in my stash, and I decided to use it to create a large shaker feature for my page. I cut the stencil on an angle to fit in the top left corner of the page. I then cut a piece of white cardstock for the base of the shaker and a piece of clear acetate to sit under the stencil. To assemble the shaker, I attached the white cardstock to the pink patterned paper base. Next, I lined the edge of the white cardstock with 3D foam tape. I sprinkled a sequin mix onto the white cardstock and then applied the clear acetate topper, sealing the sequins into the shaker. Lastly, I adhered the reindeer stencil to the top of the acetate and embellished it with die-cut flowers and fabric stars.
I have two slightly different photos. You can actually see the caribou's eye peeking out of the brush on the top picture. I attached the photos to the layout using 3D foam tape and then added die-cuts, puffy stickers, and fabric stars for a fun mix of texture and dimension.
The colorful puffy alpha stickers from the kit are super fun! I love the mix of colors. This kit, along with an extra paper pack, is still available from the Clique Store.
