Hi! I'm excited to be a Guest Designer for the More Than Words April Main Challenge! The word inspiration this month is VINTAGE, and the creative challenge is COLLAGE. I have had these colorful VINTAGE die-cuts in my stash for years and it feels great to finally use them on an art journal page! I pieced several designs together to create a COLLAGE image for my journal. Once the die-cuts were secured to the page, I added glitter for a touch of sparkle. I'm trying to visualize Spring and am hoping that it arrives soon!
I pieced together 6 different vintage die-cuts to create this colorful collage image. I love all the texture! Before I started the collage work, I prepped the pages with white gesso and then added color with Gelatos and Distress Crayons. I added a simple print using a stencil with Distress Oxide Ink.
I like to use dictionary pages when I can. I highlighted a couple of words with a black pen and then added another word, spring, in my own handwriting to finish the thought.
