Paper Bag Junk Journal - Clique International

 

Hi! I'm sharing a paper bag junk journal that I created with the super fun and amazing Lost and Found London Bridge Kit for Clique International today. The London Bridge Kit is a one-of-a-kind limited-edition kit designed with a combination of new old stock from the Daisy D's Wonder Years collection and genuine vintage materials. The imagery and color in this kit are fantastic!

I used 14 paper lunch bags to create this album that measures 7 3/4 inches long by 5 1/4 inches wide. The binding is about 1 1/2 inches wide and holds together 26 pages that measure 7 3/4 by 5 1/4 inches, and 12 half pages that measure 3 by 5 1/4 inches. There are also 14 pockets in this album, that can hold all kinds of things! I used THIS TUTORIAL to assemble my album. I only changed the number of pages and the style of binding, which I decided to stitch onto the spine.

I have used almost every piece of the kit in this album, that is absolutely packed with fun colorful prints and images.

There is no wrong way to apply the papers, stickers, rub-ons, die-cuts, and embellishments to the pages. I had a blast mixing and matching elements to cover the paper bags.

Who remembers these sewing cards from their childhood? I gave myself permission to play like a child with this kit. No rules!

Now that the base pages are finished, I plan to go back into this album with other mediums, stamps, and stencils to really finish each page. I'll share more of this album as I finish the pages.
