Hi! I'm sharing an altered pop-up book for Pretty Little Studio today. I started with a Little Golden Book and several of the die-cut packages from the new Pretty Little Studio Sugar Plum Collection. This new collection is magical! Einat Kessler shares a fantastic easy-to-follow pop-up book tutorial that I modeled my design after.
The ornaments, candy, bows, mice, wreath pieces, and dancers are all fabulous designs to use as pop-up images. I used scallop strips cut from patterned paper as the main support pieces.
I really love the mix of traditional colors and pastels in this collection.
I kept my die-cuts unaltered and used only thin foam squares and patterned paper support arms to secure the die-cuts to the pop-up mechanisms. These interactive pages would look great with a touch of glitter!
The snow globe is one of my favorite die-cut designs.
The mice are another of my favorite design elements, and they are included in almost all of my pop-up designs.
I had to include a nutcracker as well!
All of the pop-up designs fit snug inside the Little Golden Book, which is still able to close flat. There is definitely a fun surprise inside!
