Funday Marching Band Scrapbook Layout - Creative Embellishments

 

Hi! I'm sharing a layout highlighting my daughter's marching band experience from band camp over the summer for Creative Embellishments today. I was a parent volunteer during the week and was able to take photos, which was an added bonus. We're almost halfway through the marching band season. Our band is a show band, which means they learn a new halftime show for each home game. So far, I've enjoyed a funk show featuring music from The Ohio Players, Bruno Mars, and The Average White Band, and a show made up of stadium favorites, which included the theme song from "Rocky," "Welcome to the Jungle," and "The Final Countdown." This band is definitely having fun!

I used Cameras for photo frames, which I covered in patterned paper for a pop of color, and then embellished with pieces from the Film Strip Set and Wood Veneer Love Notes. Both the chipboard and wood veneer designs were colored with paint markers. I backed the film strip with patterned paper and then wrote in the letters for my daughter's high school to personalize the piece.

To help fill in the space around the camera photo frames, I selected floral die-cuts and cut leaves from patterned paper and arranged them above and below the chipboard.

I selected a piece from the Music Note Borders Set to add across the middle of the page and used a gold paint marker to color the chipboard for a touch of shimmer.

I created a title spot using a die-cut tag, film strip, wood veneer love note, and fussy cut leaves. The small pink heart is included in the Love Note Set and is the negative piece from the music notes that are heart outlines.
