December Daily Album from Upcycled Greeting Cards - Color Rush Studio

 

Hi! I'm sharing the December Daily album that I created using upcycled Christmas cards and the festive November Old Saint Nick Color Club Main Kit for Color Rush Studio today. This kit is packed with everything you need to document the holiday season! A dear friend gifted me a large amount of holiday greeting cards and I thought they would make wonderful foundation pages for my album this year. I used my Mini Cinch machine to bind the cards together along with some pieces of patterned paper from the kit. There are a total of 31 cards in this album, which I may or may not use. It's always better to include more pages in an album and remove any that aren't used at the end of the month. I used a foam sticker from the Simple Stories Simple Vintage 'Tis the Season collection on the front cover and then added Color Rush Studio embellishments.

The Color Rush Studio embellishments in this kit are some of my favorites to date! Look at the fun mix of different textures! I stuffed the stocking with a glittery candy cane and topped it with a Diamond Heart, which comes in a package of four, two red and two black.

I like big bows! The Frazzles Ribbon Set in this kit is so fun! I chose the bright red striped ribbon to use as an album closure.

There are a lot of elements on the cut-apart patterned papers that are great for building up layers on a page. 

I embellished the back side of each greeting card page with a photo, fussy cut imagery, foam stickers, and Color Rush Studio embellishments.

The cork stickers included in the kit are such a fun texture to add to projects and they take color so well! I used paint markers to color this Santa from the Santa's Coming Set.

The cork stocking sticker fit right in with a photo of my decorated banister. Again, I used paint makers to color the cork.

I'm looking forward to documenting the rest of the month with this amazing kit!
