Enjoy the Music Cassette Tape Mini Album - Brutus Monroe

 

Hi! I'm documenting my concert memories like a rockstar in this Coptic stitched cassette tape mini album with stenciled, stamped, and embossed details, that I created for Brutus Monroe. 

This is the third cassette tape mini album that I have created. I look for cassettes that are screwed together, because it is much easier to disassemble them. Once the tape halves were apart, I applied modeling paste over the X Pattern Stencil and then colored the raised letters with Neon Aqua Pigments to add a pop of bold color to the album covers. I carefully heat embossed the Enjoy the Music sentiment onto the front cover.

I used white cardstock to create the signatures of this album, which I simply cut to size, 3.75 inches by 4.75 inches, and then folded in half.

I used the Mix Tape Stamp, Sheet Music Stamp, and Cassette Collection Mixed Media Stencil to add prints to the outside of the signatures.

Inside each signature I added photos from the show and some journaling. I was lucky enough to attend 13 concerts last year. My husband went to one show by himself, which I also included in this album. We rocked out to The Trews; Brianiac; John Mayer; Clutch with Amigo the Devil and Nate Bergman; Jason Isbell; The Walkmen; Killer Queen; Extreme with Living Colour; Guided by Voices with Built to Spill, Heartless Bastards, and Wednesday; Queens of the Stone Age with Viagra Boys and Jehnny Beth; Nick Cave; Amigo the Devil with Tejon Corner Street Thieves and Nate Bergman; Metallica with Pantera and Mammoth WVH; and Deer Tick. I had tickets to see Jimmy Gnecco and Steelheart, and they were both cancelled. Hopefully I'll be able to catch them soon. My concert schedule is filling up for 2024, with 7 amazing shows! \m/
