"Space Junk" Punched Tin Can Lantern - Brutus Monroe

It’s amazing what can be made with used materials! Dana Tatar transforms a simple tin can into a lantern using a stencil as a guide for punched holes.

Hi! I'm still having a lot of fun with the new space themed release from Brutus Monroe. I've been thinking about all the breathtaking sights that seem to be so plentiful in our galaxy. On the other hand, Earth’s orbit is actually crowded with satellites and small pieces of debris whirling around at dangerously high speeds. According to NASA's Orbital Debris Program Office, there are an estimated 500,000 smaller pieces of orbital debris and about 21,000 large pieces spinning around Earth right now!

I try my best to craft green when I can and produce as little waste as possible. It’s amazing what you can make with used materials! I upcycled a simple tin can into a lantern, using the Angles Slimline Stencil as a template for my punched holes, which I created using a hammer and nail. I then embellished the outside of the can with strips of galactic washi tape and a piece of wire for hanging.
