Hi! I'm sharing a spooky gift box that I created for Brutus Monroe. I stash busted some of my favorite older products and picked several new seasonal releases to create this candy corn shaker gift box. This box is ready to fill with Scoozie’s candy for a special Halloween treat.

I used the Candied Corn Layering Stencil with chalk ink on black cardstock for the front and back panels of this box. The Sweet Hearts Cutting Die made creating the shaker window super easy! The box is constructed from black cardstock. I debated my choice to back the shaker window with cardstock, but ultimately chose to do so, so that the contents of the box would remain a surprise. I paired the Flying in to Say sentiment from the Friendship release with the new Ghost Mask Set to create a focal point for the front of the box. I used items from the Halloween Advent Calendar (orange ribbon, candy corn shaker mix, and purple glitter) to further embellish the box. I created the boo letters using the Bushel and a Peck cutting die set. I always look for ways to used sentiment dies to create new words, and this worked out perfectly!

I thought I might create an artist trading card to go with this gift box, but then I decided to embellish both the front and back of the box. I adhered the finished card directly to the back of the box.

This candy corn Dracula stamp is several years old, and I was happy to use it again paired with the Candied Corn Layering Stencil. I colored the stamped image using the new Simple Blend ROY ink pad. I outlined the stamped lines with Black Glue for dimension. The stamped sentiment that I selected is from the older Bright Days Stamp Set. I think it works really well here!

I used eyelets and ribbon to create a handle for the top flap of the box, which opens and closes. I tied knots at the end of the ribbon under each eyelet to hold the handle in place.

I filled this box with some Scoozie's candy. I think I'll make several more boxes like this to hand out on Halloween. I also plan to create a similar version for Christmas.

Many of the items I used in this project are limited edition and are only available while supplies last. Hurry to the Brutus Monroe to shop before this line is sold out. Use my AFFILIATE LINK or the Coupon Code THEYCALLMETATARSALAD to save 10%.
