Hi! I'm sharing a pair of 2x2 mini albums for Brutus Monroe today. I purchased the Brutus Monroe 2024 Holiday Advent Calendar and was absolutely delighted to find miniature paper pads, stamps, cutting dies, and stencils inside the box. (There are also fantastic full-size goodies that I plan to use soon!) I knew right away that I wanted to create some small albums from the paper pads. These cuties are the perfect size to tuck into a stocking or hang on the tree.
I wanted to create a statement cover because I kept the inside of the albums unadorned. I used the NEW Brutus Monroe Chipboard Ornaments to create shaker embellishments. The Glitter Sticky Sheets make quick work of covering the base of each ornament. The fabulous sparkle from the glitter is there, but without the mess!
I colored the top piece from the chipboard ornament set using a paint marker and then glued a circle of acetate to the back. Once dry, I applied a ring of foam adhesive around the back of the painted chipboard, added some shaker fill, and then pressed it on to the glittery base. I stamped a sentiment to place on top of each ornament. Lastly, I tied a ribbon to the top of each ornament and attached them to the album covers.
I used an accordion fold piece of cardstock for the binding to hold the pages of the mini albums together.
I used two pieces of solid cardstock for each album cover and a piece of scored cardstock to cover the folded binding for a clean finish.
