Hi! I'm thinking of spring with this waterfall junk journal that I created for Brutus Monroe. I followed a tutorial by Dooreen Rousseau that was published in the Spring issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine to create this project that combines patterned paper, Creative Cards, and stamped sentiments to hold ephemera and tags. The side pull waterfall mechanism turns the pages in a cascade fashion in this interactive journal.
I combined the Spring Splatter Paper Pad, fussy cut flowers and butterflies from the Fluttering Forest Paper Pad, and Rainbow Portraits Creative Cards and the Sunny Sentiments Stamp Set to embellish the pages of this album that I cut from file folders.
The front cover features a pocket, and it also folds open.
The second page is a double pocket tag holder.
Page 3 is a trifold insert with a pocket.
Page 4 is a long page with a tag pocket on both sides.
Page 5 features a side pocket with a double-sided pull-out tag.
I also embellished the back cover of the album with Creative Card packaging and a stamped sentiment.
This album is so fun to flip through with all the folds, tuckets, and pockets. I love a good waterfall pull tab! I'm using this as a stand-alone journal, but this could easily be added to an existing journal as an interactive element.
