Hi! I'm documenting a sunrise on the beach on this mixed media scrapbook layout that I created for Brutus Monroe. I used the Watercolor Waves Paper Pad of the Month for this page, which was an absolutely perfect color palette for the rising sun reflecting off of the water. The new color mediums were a lot of fun to work with and added some really cool texture to my simple design.
I mixed Amber Whipped Honey with White Quartz Sand Paste to create a life-like sandy background along the bottom of the page.
I then embellish my 5x7 photo with foiled text, embossed chipboard waves, and acetate fish. The acetate fish are foilable, but I liked the way they popped in black, which is how they come straight out of the packaging.
I added more sparkle to my design with Pink Sands Cosmo Glaze and Acrylic Bubbles. I pressed the acrylic bubbles into the sand paste mixture while it was still wet and didn't need any additional adhesive.
