Hi! I'm celebrating my recent high school graduate on this mixed media scrapbook layout that I created for Brutus Monroe.
I foiled the ConGRADulations digital cut file and then added splashes of Yellow Aqua Pigment to make a shiny focal point on the page. How did I do it? I first printed out the cut file onto a piece of white cardstock. Next, I carefully covered the printed letters with Foil Glaze and set the paper aside to dry. Once dry, I pressed transfer foil onto the glaze to create shimmery blue letters. A small amount of pressure from fingertips and gentle rubbing is all it took to transfer the foil to the layout. Then, I used a needle tipped bottle to squeeze Yellow Aqua Pigment around the foiled letters. The splatters happen naturally during this application process. I love the pop of color. My child's school colors are blue and yellow, but this technique works with any color palette.
I used the Deco Numbers stencil with blue ink to add the graduating year to the page, replacing the “0” in 2025 with a photo of my child. I can't say enough good things about the Occasional Greetings Stamp Set. It seems to have a message for every occasion, including graduation. I stamped "Hats off to the Grad" under the stenciled numbers. Gold Star foiled stickers and a graduation tassel finish the layout.
