You Shine Patriotic Scrapbook Layout - Brutus Monroe

 

Hi! I'm sharing a patriotic scrapbook layout for Brutus Monroe today. My niece Nina always has a smile on her face and is ready for a good time. Lucky, for me, she absolutely loves posing for photos! I snapped these pics during the Fourth of July holiday a couple of years ago. The patriotic mini release from Brutus Monroe was absolutely perfect to document this memory.

I transformed the Washi Map 3 into an American flag using an Old Glory Washi Sheet and a Red, White, & Blue Duofoil Sheet to create a patriotic base for my layout. The Washi Maps and Duofoil Sheets are designed to be cut apart into 4 card panels, but they work just fine as a full sheet on a scrapbook layout! Once the tape and foiled panel were down, I brushed Fallen Snow Glitter Glaze over the white stripes on the washi map to add extra sparkle to the background.

I added festive shine to the page using transfer foils. Blue foil on the top left corner to highlight the mini stars, and red foil on the foilable star stickers. The stamp I used for the subtitle in part of the Occasional Greetings Stamp Set, which is a must-have for stamping sentiments all year long.

I used Liberty Embossing Powder to cover a small piece of Alabaster cardstock and then used the You Are My Sunshine Die Set to cut the red background. I used the letter portion of the same die set to create my own title for the page, which I cut from Midnight cardstock and then covered with Star Spangled Sparkle Glitter Glaze.
