Young Reader Scrapbook Layout - Brutus Monroe

 

Hi! I'm documenting a trip to The Center for the Book in the Library of Congress on this scrapbook layout I created for Brutus Monroe. While I was living in the Washington, D.C. area, trips to the Library of Congress were one of my favorite activities. The building is one of the most stunning I have ever been in and it's a total bonus that it is full of books!

I took inspiration from the speech bubble patterned paper from the Book Club paper pack when designing this page. I had a freebie die set from Brutus Monroe that included two wonderful speech bubble dies, and I had a lot of fun with them on this layout. 

I filled colorful die-cut speech bubbles with stamped and embossed sentiments and then further embellished them with fussy cut patterned paper flowers and hearts, and crystals.

I had some leftover glitter arches from another project, and I used them to create a rainbow over the open book design that I cut from a piece of patterned paper from the pack.
