Hi! I have love on the brain with my anniversary coming up at the end of the month. The Valentine Swatch Art Panels from Brutus Monroe inspired me to create this layout featuring my sweetheart.
I used the Painted Rose Stencil from the Wonderland Release, cardstock, and glitterstock, to cut and piece together large flowers for the background of the page. I used the floral panel from the Swatch Art sheet as my guide for this background. It's a standard A2 card base size, and I created my own larger design to fit my 8.5x11 layout.
I absolutely love using stencils with cardstock in this manner. It takes some time, but the finished background is gorgeous and so fun to touch. I love the added dimension and shimmer.
I embellished my layout with embossed stamping and swatch art images. The Brutus Monroe Ultra Strong Swatch Dots are an incredible die-cut adhesive circle created for use with embossing powders, glitters, and micas. These super strong dots peel from their release sheet and can be placed on a Swatch Dot Panel. Then, just sprinkle a little embossing powder onto the dot and heat.
