Backyard Birds Mini Album - Brutus Monroe

Hi! I'm in my bird watching era and I've created this mini album from A2 Card Bases featuring photos of the birds that visit my backyard feeder for Brutus Monroe. I stitched the album pages to the spine in a way that creates a trio of yellow hearts for a pop of color.

The outer album covers feature a Sparkle Overlay covered and foiled Washi Sheet and Theodore dressed as a yellow finch. I applied Hello Yellow Rina K. Designs Neon Enamel Transfer Sheets to the DuoFoil Washi Sheet to lighten up the back bird pattern, and I think it did the trick. The colorful shimmer from the Sparkle Overlay and the Celebrate Holostock really catches the light in a fantastic way. Theodore looks absolutely adorable in his bird costume. The inner album covers feature stenciled yellow finches, one of my favorite birds, that I brushed on using the Flight Pattern Mixed Media Layering Stencil. I used the Marquee Sentiments Stamp Set to create a title for my handwritten table of contents. I have room for 5 more birds in this album, and I'm looking forward to seeing what varieties of birds will visit my feeder in the coming months.

I had fun matching up photos of my birds to those featured on Cog and Feather Creative Cards and the State Birds Washi Sheet. Each 2-page spread features a Fancy Framed photo and embellished tag created using cutting dies. I wasn't sure if ink would show up on the textured Glitterstock, but it does in a fantastically subtle way, which is perfect for this album design which is quite busy.
