Creased with Kindness Iris Fold Card - Brutus Monroe

Create beautiful designs with paper using an Iris Fold technique. Pastel floral-patterned paper and gesso add depth and beauty to this spring card.

Hi! I was inspired by the bird and “creased with kindness” sentiment from the Origami Flight Stamp Set to incorporate folded paper into this card that I designed for Brutus Monroe. I created an Iris Fold focal point using folded strips of patterned paper from the Soaring Skies Paper Pad. This was my first time creating an Iris Fold design and I really love how it turned out! I watched a video tutorial by Michelle from 12x12 Cardstock Shop entitled "How to Make an Iris Fold Card for Beginners," which was a big help. I die-cut a frame that features hand-mixed Pastel Gesso Colors and the Feathered Path Mixed Media Stencil to surround the layered scene and finished the card with a simple stamped sentiment.
