Happily Ever After Arch - Tando Creative Blog Hop

It's time for another Tando Creative Product Focus Blog Hop!  The product from the Tando range featured in this hop is Arches. The fabulous Tando Design Team members have created stunning projects using these products. If you leave a comment on every blog in the hop you will be entered into the prize draw to win some of these arches! If you have arrived here from Kaz's Blog, you're on the right track.  If you're visiting my blog today for another reason, and you would like a chance to win some fabulous Tando Creative chipboard, please join the hop and start back at the Tando Creative Blog.

I used a Gothic Arch Layered Frame. I covered the inner arch with a photo of my Great, Great-Grandparents on their wedding day, which I transferred onto a piece of muslin.

I had a great time altering the arch frame!  I started by painting the frame with a coat of gold paint.  Once the paint was dry, I applied a generous amount of Extra Heavy Gel to the frame and added glitter, glass beads and lace.  I then added more gold color with Antique Brass Glimmer Mist and Rich Gold Pinata Color Alcohol Ink.  I allowed the frame to dry overnight before I finished embellishing the arch with rhinestones, flowers and a sentiment sticker.  I highlighted several areas of the arch with Gesso to finish.

Thanks for stopping by today!  You have until Sunday to complete the hop. The next stop on the hop is Gez's Blog. Here is a complete list of the hop participants in case you get lost along the way:
