Miss Behaving ATC - Gel Lace Tutorial

Lace is one of my favorite embellishments to add to my projects. I have a collection of lace, most of which is white- or cream-colored. In a few quick steps and only a handful of supplies, I can recreate the look of lace on my projects in fun, bold colors.

Supplies:
ATC Base
Gesso or paint
Extra Heavy Gel
Dye ink
Tape
Paintbrush

Step One: Cover the ATC base with a layer of gesso or paint.

Step Two: Tape the ATC down to the work surface. Cover the ATC with a piece of lace and tape down to the work surface to hold in place. Note: It is important that both the ATC and the lace do not move for the next step to ensure a clear impression from the lace.

Step Three: Mix a couple of drops of dye ink into the gel.

Step Four: Cover the ATC with the gel.

Step Five: Carefully remove the lace from the ATC and set aside to dry. Embellish to finish.
