Hello! I'm sharing a project for the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® Guest Design Team today. Penny Black has graciously supplied the team with stamps and we are sharing projects this week featuring the fabulous stamps paired with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft products. I found a pretty piece of specialty paper in my scrap room that was just begging for some color. The paper was similar in texture to a dryer sheet and sported a painted white floral pattern. I had a lot of fun coloring it with the new Gelatos® Designer Colors sets and created a fun card set.
To start, I randomly scribbled the new Tropical Gelatos® Designer Colors onto my craft mat, spritzed with water, blended with my finger and then carefully pressed the specialty paper into the color.
I love the resulting rainbow of color! The Gelatos® blend fabulously and I was able to mix up some nice shades of green and orange. Once my paper was dry, I mounted it on a piece of cardstock and attached it to a card base.
I used a Warm Grey IV (#273) Stamper's Big Brush Pen with a set of Life's Messages stamps to create the sentiments for my card set.
I used the new 50's Diner Gelatos® Designer Colors set on this pair of cards.
Sadly, I only had one piece of the specialty paper and I wasn't ready for the fun to end. I experimented and was able to create a similar patterned paper by stamping a leaf pattern onto a dryer sheet using Gesso and the Penny Black Verdent Stamp. Note: Be sure to rinse the Gesso from the stamp as soon as you finish stamping.
I selected several green Gealtos®, Green Tea, Lime, Pistachio and Spearmint, and a Gold Champagne Gelato® and added color to my dryer sheet using the same process as shown above.
Once my paper was dry, I mounted it on a piece of cardstock and attached it to a card base. I used the Green Stamper's Big Brush Pen Set for the message on this card.
The artistry of Penny Black stamps and Creative Dies along with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft's colorful Mix and Match mediums take the mystery out of the oh-so-trendy mixed media look! All this week the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Guest Design Team will be sharing projects using Penny Black stamps.
