Art! - Paper House Productions

Hi! I'm thrilled to be sharing my first projects for Paper House Productions! I used the super fun Artist Collection. I started with a piece of the 12x12 Imagine Patterned Paper (P-0598). I thought this Picasso quote was perfect for the photo of my niece painting. I wanted to add color to my page, so I selected several pieces of patterned paper from the 6x6 Artist Paper Pad, and randomly cut the papers into square and rectangular shapes. I inked the edges of my paper pieces with black ink to help them stand out from each other and arranged them on my page in a Piet Mondrain style. I framed my photo with white cardstock, to help it pop off the colorful background.

I added the Art 3D Title Sticker. I love the dimension! The clear, paint splattered base blends seamlessly with the background of my page and the foil layer adds a fantastic shine to my layout. I absolutely love the Sharpie look of the black lettering. It looks like I spent a lot of time drawing this title by hand!

I added several stickers from the Art Class 3D Sticker Set to my page. This "Create" sticker has a clear, paint splatter base and a glossy cardstock top layer that really shines.

I love the detail on even the smallest stickers. There are foil accents on several of the stickers shown above. I love that the paint tube proudly displays the Paper House logo! I borrowed the paintbrush from a layered sticker from the Art Class 3D Sticker Set. Each sticker layer is made from duplicate images, so you can separate sticker layers to help stretch the life of your sticker sheet without sacrificing the design!

When I saw the "Artist at Work" sticker from the Art Class 3D Sticker Set, I knew right away that I wanted to make a home decor piece for myself. I started by disassembling the frame. I had a lot of fun splattering acrylic paint onto the frame! While the frame was drying, I cut a piece from the 12x12 Create Patterned Paper (P-0597) to fit inside my frame using the matting as a guide. This particular frame has a small inside window, so I cut that area from my Create Patterned Paper and filled in the empty space behind the matting with a piece of patterned paper from the 6x6 Artist Paper Pad. To highlight the small window, I framed it with a strand of shimmery fiber.

Once the paint was dry, I assembled my frame and added the "Artist at Work" sticker directly onto the glass. I finished the piece by adhering two paintbrushes to the frame. I think a cautionary warning is implied with this piece, LOL. My basement is finished and I have claimed a large corner for my scrap area. I'm thinking about hanging this on the door to my basement. This way, anyone who ventures down into my space will be forewarned!
